Don't expect this to last more than 1 year. The digital display was so bright that it hurt to look at it if you woke up and wanted to see the time. But the bottom line, it didn't work after about 9 months. I only give it 1 star because I had to.
A Complete Waste February 8, 2008 Denis Keith (Maine) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This tiny (I mean teeny-weeny) all plastic clock is nearly impossible to read, harder to set and operate, and is less bright then those plastic "seen on tv" touch lights. The dawn effect does not wake me (I'm a light sleeper) and it is not natural full spectrum light. I bought the adapter (Ka-ching$) and it doesn't work with my natural light lamp. A real rip-off. And it gains time, @5 min/week.
This product is not for everyone December 2, 2007 R. M. Bowman 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is not for everyone. There is no brightness control. When it starts to light, it gets too bright and i wake up often before the alarm goes off. The digital reader is too small. Not very happy with the product.
Not worth it! November 21, 2007 Colleen White (Cleveland, OH USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product sounds good, but doesn't live up to its description. The clock ran fast, and the radio is cheap. The built-in light is very small and dim. I got the converter to be able to use my own lamp in addition, and this provided enough light, but I still had 2 problems with it. First, the light increase is step-wise in seven levels, not smooth. With my brighter light, the increases were noticeable and jolted me awake too fast. Second, the alarm-light function on this clock did not work properly. For example, I set it to reach full light at 6:30 am on a 30 minute cycle. It started the cycle early, shut off the light completely at 6:15, and turned it back on at full brightness again at 6:30. Not exactly a gradual waking process. I would not recommend this product at all. There are other much better products that don't cost that much more than this. Go with one of them, you'll be happier.
great radio clock November 14, 2007 H. McPherson (Seattle, WA)
I've used this clock for a few years now, and I love it. My only disappointment is that the light/radio stay on for only 15 minutes -- so no procrastinating about getting up. NO, it's not like having the actual sun light up the bedroom (like, duh), but its light gently brightens until the radio starts (mine is set for a 30-minute gradual "sunrise." Then it shuts off automatically in 15-20 minutes. I've already recommended this clock to several people, and it was recommended to me several years ago.
