Not only is this a cool piece to have for a gadget minded individual like myself but it is quite useful too. The memory stick works like any other so no surprise there but the swiss knife portion is actually quite good. The quality you would expect from Swiss and I am not talking about the ones you can buy at just any gas station. Very sharp and feels quility. The USB stick detaches from the knife in case it needs to plug in somewhere with a tight fit (like the side of a laptop). I would have given it 5 stars if it came in more storage options. When I purchased this the only way to get anything larger than 2G version was in the "silver" but that version didn't include the scissors which I find to be the most handy part. I own one and I purchased 2 more for gifts for my groomsman when I got married and they loved them as well. Perfect gift for the guys!

I previously owned the 32MB version and basically used all the tools regularly. The one I used the most was the pen. After that ran out of ink, I had to get a new one. The software that comes with it allows you to password protect the USB. So I had 2 partitions, one that was password protected and the other for partition for less important stuff. But if you use Macs, it can't read the password protected portion. It can only read the other partition. :-( That's why it's only getting 4 stars. I use both Macs and PCs regularly, and it creates more hassle trying to remember which partition to put my files.

This is a great tool, especially with the USB key. BUT, there is no security, or even an attempt by the company to provide some. The web-sites are defunct, and there isn't any security disk provided. In summation, great tool, NO SECURITY as promised!

This is my second SwissBit knife... had to replace one that was purloined from my checked baggage during a Hawaii trip. I loved my old one, and love this one even more. The flash drive works great, and resides in a practical pocket knife that is small enough to keep on one's person every day. The white LED light is better than the old red one... is now a practical light source for close-in work. The device is more than durable enough to carry around daily... my old one survived a trip through the washer and dryer, working perfectly afterward, and absolutely wrinkle-free to boot. The SwissBit does all it advertises and for me is an easy way to have a flash drive with me everywhere but in the shower. (I never was a lanyard kinda guy) Everytime I use it among "civillians" it gets great comments. Highly recommended.

Wow what a great product! All of the quality of Swiss's classic knife and the technology I was looking for.
The knife is very solid and the flash drive works flawlessly. When I am showing my friends my new "toy," I go through the usual knife/nail file/scissors and then show them the ball point pen (writes well) and the LED light (really bright at night), then I flip out the 2GB flash drive and that's usually where they take it from my hands to get a better look. I have never removed the drive from the knife, but the instructions say you can just snap it out. I recommend leaving the drive in a semi-closed "V" with the weight of your keys close to the computers USB port if you are not going to remove it from the knife. Thanks Victorinox for making the exact product I was looking for.
